Attention Homeowners:

There has been a number of burglaries in Waterchase and several
surrounding communities. In a nearby community (Oakstead), witnesses
have told deputies a brown or red van has been slowly prowling through
neighborhoods. Alleged accomplices, well dressed and carrying
clipboards, have been walking down the streets. They apparently do not
knock on any doors or approach any houses. Deputies believe these
individuals are "casing" homes to see which ones are unoccupied.

Everyone needs to play a role to keep our community safe. Please, if
you see any suspicious activity, regardless of age or appearance,
report it to the Sheriff's office at 813-247-8200. If you see
such a van or similar such pedestrians, immediately call the "911"
emergency line.

Thank you in advance for your support in the Community!
